Roger Neilson Statue
Our team was dispatched on an emergency call-out to core drill new anchor holes to properly secure the Roger Neilson Statue at Rogers Arena. It was unveiled later that day. GO CANUCKS GO!

LIGHTS...CAMERA...ACTION!
On location of a 20th Century Fox feature film, our team was dispatched to cut and remove a 100' section of retaining wall so that a stunt crew could launch a car off the top level of a parkade in New Westminster.

Vancouver Olympics 2010

Beluga Whale Tank Demo
Westcoast Cutting and Coring's team happily took part in modifying a section of the Vancouver Aquarium's Beluga Tank last month. A nursery was built in preparation of the yet-to-be-named female beluga whale born at 3:39 p.m., Sunday, June 7, 2009. This is the first occasion for two beluga calves to share a habitat at the Vancouver Aquarium.
A unique challenge was presented in this project due to the noise and vibration sensitive nature of the Beluga Whales. WCC's experienced staff and operators designed a unique cutting plan and used specialized equipment to complete the project successfully without harm to the mammals.

The Great Wall
Our team successfully demolished "the Great Wall," a 22' long x 14' high x 8'6" thick wall from below waterfront station in downtown Vancouver, BC. In one week Westcoast Cutting removed 250 tons of concrete and steel in order to supply an opening for Vancouver's new skytrain system.
